At the outset of the meeting, the Secretary General of IICRA, Dr. Rami Sulaiman, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Ministry of Economy for its generous sponsorship of IICRA’s academic initiatives, particularly the recent conference titled “Updates on Islamic Financial Transactions: The UAE’s Legislative Expertise as a Model.” Dr. Rami emphasized the key recommendations from the conference and deliberated on actionable steps to implement them, including strategies for codifying Islamic financial transactions and standardizing their contractual frameworks. Both parties also explored opportunities for enhanced collaboration between IICRA and the Ministry to advance their shared objectives.

The meeting was attended by Counselor Hassan Al-Kilani, Legal Advisor to the Ministry of Economy. His Excellency Abdulla Al Saleh reaffirmed his steadfast support for IICRA’s mission and vision, acknowledging it as a distinguished institution hosted by the UAE and a pivotal legal arm of the Islamic economy on a global scale.

The meeting concluded with the exchange of commemorative shields.
