International Islamic Center for Reconciliation and Arbitration has participated in the 44th Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank Group entitled “Transformation in a rapidly changing world: the Road to Sustainable Development Goals”, held in Marrakesh, Morocco, from 3rd of April to 6th of April 2019. More than 2,500 participants representing international and regional organizations and national governments from all over the globe attended the meeting and its activities.
IICRA through its Chief Executive Officer MR. Rami Sulaiman participated in a conference on The Importance of Infrastructure for the Islamic Financial Industry held on April 03, 2019 along with the representatives of the infrastructure institutions of Islamic financial industry and more than 300 participants. The CEO Sulaiman has introduced IICRA and its key role in supporting the Islamic financial industry, especially through coordination between Sharia, legal and technical aspects of Islamic finance, and settling disputes through specialized Reconciliation and Arbitration.
Finally, on 5th of April 2019 IICRA has participated in a workshop which was also attended by its partners in the Infrastructure institutions of the Islamic Finance Industry (IFSB, AAOIFI, CIBAFI, IIFM, IIRA), chaired by Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) as an umbrella for the activities of these institutions including IICRA. A number of points were discussed on mechanism of activating cooperation and coordination between these institutions with an aim to unite efforts and promote the ideal environment for the development of the Islamic economy in all its aspects and in accordance with its rules, regulations and services. The workshop concluded by agreeing upon the implementation of rewarding work steps which, God willing, will achieve the common objectives in supporting the Islamic financial industry.
