The International Islamic Centre for Reconciliation and Arbitration (IICRA) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the 18th Edition of its flagship training initiative, the Certified Islamic Arbitrator & Expert (CIAE) Training Program, held virtually from 26 to 29 June 2025.
The program was inaugurated by IICRA Secretary General, Dr. Rami Sulaiman, who welcomed participants and highlighted the increasing global demand for qualified professionals in Islamic finance dispute resolution. He reaffirmed IICRA’s mission to strengthen the institutional framework of the Islamic economy through Shari’ah-compliant arbitration and reconciliation services.
This edition brought together 18 distinguished professionals from across the United States, Russia, Nigeria, Sudan, Finland, and the United Arab Emirates. Among them were representatives from IICRA member institutions, including the UAE Ministry of Finance and the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), whose participation underscores their ongoing support for the development of Islamic dispute resolution practices.
The four-day training was led by two esteemed experts: Dr. Suzanne Mounir Abdallah, PhD, who covered commercial arbitration under Shari’ah principles (Days 1–2), and Mr. Abdulrahim Adi, who delivered in-depth sessions on Islamic finance instruments such as Sukuk, Murabaha, Mudaraba, and Ijara (Days 3–4). Participants commended the program for its academic rigor, practical relevance, and insightful discussion of real-world applications.
The upcoming 19th edition of the CIAE Training Program is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025, with dates to be announced soon.
