Dubai, UAE – 14 March 2025 – The International Islamic Centre for Reconciliation and Arbitration (IICRA) had the honor of hosting a distinguished delegation from Senegal, comprising esteemed mayors and government officials, at its headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). This pivotal visit marks a significant step toward strengthening Islamic arbitration frameworks and expanding dispute resolution expertise in the region.
Welcoming the delegation, Mr. Musheer Ahmad, Head of Communications and Marketing at IICRA, along with Ms. Vanessa Jane Asong, provided an in-depth presentation on IICRA’s global role in Shari’ah-compliant arbitration. The session highlighted IICRA’s institutional reconciliation services, its state-of-the-art online dispute resolution platform, and its flagship Certified Islamic Arbitration and Expert (CIAE) Training Program.
The Senegalese delegation engaged in insightful discussions on implementing Islamic arbitration mechanisms, recognizing the growing demand for specialized expertise in financial dispute resolution. Expressing keen interest in launching a structured Islamic finance and arbitration initiative in Senegal, the officials explored avenues for collaboration with IICRA, particularly in delivering French-language training programs tailored to legal and financial professionals in the region.
